Family Finally Found in Case of 2 Children Left Home Alone in South Carolina

Usually, family law attorneys deal with things like divorce, child custody and child support. Every now and then, however, they work on reuniting families. This seems to be what happened this week in Chester, South Carolina. The entire community came together to come to the aid of two young boys who had been left home alone.

The police were first alerted to the fact that two young boys had been left at home alone on Monday afternoon at about 2 pm. The kids were located at a house n Hinton Street in Chester. Their street lies just between Columbia Street and Harris Street.

There were no pictures of the children released for obvious reasons. The kids are minors and the police were looking to protect the children, not exploit them.

The police had no idea who the kids’ parents were or why they had left them alone. They had no choice but to put a Facebook post out asking the community to step in and help. Thankfully, someone did reach out to the police and let them know they were family to the two boys. The authorities confirmed that they were indeed related to the young boys and reunited them. These family members didn’t seem to have any idea where the kids’ parents had gone either. As of now, the parents still have not been located. The investigation into why these boys were left all alone to fend for themselves is ongoing. The names of the family members who have taken the boys into their home have not been released. We expect further information to be released soon.
