Woman Accused of Stabbing Husband with Box Cutter in Charleston County

Sometimes, a married couple needs to know when to say when. If a couple really isn’t getting along, they need to consider getting a divorce. Even if for no other reason than to prevent them from hurting each other. Divorce is sometimes the answer. This seems to be the case for a couple in Hollywood, South Carolina in Charleston County.

At around 9 pm on Friday, January 3, the police were called to a residence in the 8300 block of Sugar Hill Road in Hollywood, South Carolina. Apparently, a husband and wife were fighting in their home when the wife decided to take things to another level.

At one point, the woman, Michelle Davis, sliced her husband with a box cutter. The police observed several deep cuts on the man’s arm. His name wasn’t mentioned in the report. However, the woman was arrested and charged with domestic violence of a high and aggravated manner.

There was no mention of whether the couple was separated at the time of the incident. Nor have they confirmed if the two were in the middle of a divorce. It really just seems to be a case of one spouse assaulting the other. Sadly, while domestic violence against women is down in South Carolina, that doesn’t mean men aren’t the victim of domestic violence.

In this case, there was no mention of whether the man intended to seek legal protection. The investigation was probably still ongoing at the time. However, the authorities did confirm that they had charged the woman criminally.
